Sarah T. Herron

Sarah was named Site Manager for and will serve as a member of the network team that is evolving the Great American Country brand, a property of Scripps Networks Interactive.

Before joining GAC, Sarah was a member of the Core Team, which serves as ‘keepers of the brand,’ and is responsible for the site’s overall performance. As a writer and analyst, she created and curated content and developed strategies for SEO, sponsorships, email marketing, user experience and social media. Sarah was also a contributor to HGTV’s Design Happens, winner of the 2013 CableFax ‘Best of Web’ Blog award.

Sarah managed the HGTV Pinterest brand page and helped accelerate the platform as the leading source of social media referral traffic, surpassing Facebook and Twitter. In December, Huffington Post named the HGTV Pinterest brand page as one of seven “Pinterest Pinners to Follow.”

In 2012, Sarah coordinated the online conversion of the new HGTV Magazine with platform strategies that generated millions of page views. In October 2012, Ad Age awarded HGTV Magazine with the title “Launch of the Year.”

Sarah is an education reform advocate and a founding board member of Clayton-Bradley Academy, a K-12 STEM school located in East Tennessee’s Innovation Valley.

Sarah and her husband, an automotive engineer at Denso, are raising their sons, ages 6 and 8, in Maryville, Tenn.
